Initial Setup:

1. Preparation:

   • Calculate Dosage: Determine the amount of Seachem Betta Basics needed based on the volume of water being treated. The standard dosage is 1 capful (5 mL) per 1.25 liters (1.25 quarts) of water.

2. Application:

   • New Tank Setup: Add Seachem Betta Basics directly to the aquarium water when setting up a new tank. This will remove any chlorine, chloramine, and detoxify ammonia present in the tap water.
   • Betta-Only Bowls: For betta-only bowls (without plants), use 1 capful (5 mL) per 4 liters (1 US gallon) of water.

3. Immediate Use:

   • Safe for Immediate Use: After adding Seachem Betta Basics, you can place your betta fish into the tank immediately, as long as the water temperature is consistent with the fish’s current environment

Maintenance:

1. Regular Dosing:

   • Frequency: Use Seachem Betta Basics with each water change. For best results, also use 2-3 times per week to maintain optimal water conditions.
   • Dosage: Add 1 capful (5 mL) per 1.25 liters (1.25 quarts) of water during water changes. For betta-only bowls, use 1 capful per 4 liters (1 US gallon) of water.

2. Water Changes:

   • Routine Maintenance: Perform regular water changes to maintain water quality. Typically, a 25-50% water change every 1-2 weeks is recommended.
   • Dosage During Changes: Add Seachem Betta Basics to the new water before introducing it to the aquarium to ensure any chlorine, chloramine, and ammonia are detoxified.

3. Monitoring:

   • Water Quality: Regularly test your aquarium water for ammonia, nitrite, and pH levels. This helps ensure that the water quality remains optimal for your betta fish.
   • Adjustments: If you detect any harmful levels of ammonia or pH fluctuations, use Seachem Betta Basics to correct these issues.

4. Storage:

   • **Keep Seachem Betta Basics in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure the cap is tightly closed to prevent contamination.

You may return most new, unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
